This is much more than just a marina! It is a truly magical and beautifully serene place, and a real hidden gem.
Awesome place with great views

Great place to moor if trying to get to st kats from upriver . Need to arrive at slack water or mooring can be tricky unless you know what you're doing. Need extension hose for water if you are on higher visitor's pontoon and electricity not worth the extra cost if you're only staying for a day/overnight. There are no shops or restaurants nearby so best bring food to eat on board. If you need to book a mooring office is open 11 to 3 I think.
Good trip out on the river to see the fireworks. if I would be picky, there is no or not enough ventilation below deck where passengers sit, with probably 70 people on board, it quickly became very stuffy and smelly (drinks/food). I stood out in the cold all the way back as I just couldnt breath. The captain was very friendly and knowledgeable.

It's a lovely, space where you can have a pic nic. There are a few park benches but no tables. It's by the river between a few great pubs which are lively in the summer.
We had a great time in the gardens with the grandchildren. A veritable refuge from the surrounding built-up area.

Great place after a walk along the river. Swings for the children and an excellent cafe. Amy at the cafe will satisfy all your needs and if your lucky you might meet Lyn the owner. She was Miss Thames Television in 1960. So what you waiting for?
Two great playgrounds covering kids of different ages

Such a lot in such a small area. Formal, walled and Italianate gardens, ponds, lake with a waterfall, statues and a dedicated dog free picnic area. The house itself is quite nice and we'll worth a look but to my mind the best part is the grounds. Very popular with dog walkers who tend to act as unofficial wardens who report any wrong doing which makes the site extremely safe. It's a bit out of the way but always worth a visit.
I haven't visited this place in a long time, today was very hot, though the garden is beautiful. It's worth visiting the house, feels grand. I enjoyed the welcome relief of the cafe, which had a good selection of food and snacks. There are many extraordinary statues in the garden, and a lovely conservatory. Great place to have a picnic, there is always a part of the garden that can feel private.
