Octoberfest Pub

678-680 Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 5SA, UK – 020 7736 5293

Great (strong)German beer, with good food and atmosphere. The oompah band wasn’t bad either! Recommended.

Went for a quick lunch, enjoyed the beer and food. Was hard to talk over the football being played at maximum volume though... I didn’t see anyone watching it. I can imagine it’s much more fun in the evenings rather than for lunch.

Belushi's Hammersmith

28 Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith, London W6 7AB, UK – 020 8748 5285

Nice location. Enjoyed a shandy. Watching sports on many TVs. Toilet in good area...menu looks good. Outside tables chairs. Backpackers hangout rooms for rent

Nice bar with a fun atmosphere. I visited during the world cup and all the flags were flying high with the normal sports screens on display. Security and bar staff were nice and it's the same Belushi's bar you might now from around Europe. It's a typical sports bar and was open later than the neighbouring spots.

Temperance

90 Fulham High St, Fulham, London SW6 3LF, UK – 020 7384 3573

Dropped in yesterday barman was understanding and helpful with drink selection. Pool tables by the window which are a pound a play are pretty flat and the cues aren't that bad either. Wimbledon ale was really nice on a summers afternoon.

Excellent bar service, well-poured beer, great value food (we had 2-4-1 pizza costing less than £10 - really couldn’t knock it at all. Thin sourdough base, good toppings, better and cheaper than Franco Manca). I’ve lived in the area 6 years and never yet visited until today. We’ll be back; this is a proper pub, run well, doing simple things excellently. What more could you want? Here with a group watching the football - ample TVs are well distributed throughout. I’m really impressed. Thank you!

The Gate Hammersmith

51A, Queen Caroline St, Hammersmith, London W6 9QL, UK – 020 7833 0401

Updated as of May 2018 The food tastes amazing especially being entirely vegetarian it still hits the spot, the food they offer is seasonal so if you come at different times of the year you'll get a different menu which I think is a great idea. As well as the food being great the staff are friendly and polite. The service of the food could improve as it does take a little long to come out however you won't be disappointed with the food. It is located on the side of the Hammersmith Apollo, so you may need try and find it. I highly recommend The Gate. The service has definitely improved the food comes out a lot quicker but I do think that's also to do with the fact you have to vacate your table within 2 hours however. The food is still perfection.

The service on both occasions was warm and friendly. The food was interesting and delicious. There is variety in each of the courses and menus and something for palate. The location is very convenient to get to but beautifully hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Hammersmith. I will definitely go back.

Bill's Hammersmith Restaurant

10 Hammersmith Grove, Hammersmith, London W6 7AP, UK – 020 8741 1898

We were visiting London this weekend and we were located in Hammersmith. We looked for a nice restaurant where to have an authentic English breakfast and found Bill's. The place is really classy, nice decorated and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend either the Bills breakfast or the Vegetarian breakfast, both are huge to start a touristic day without being hungry two hours later. The prices are not expensive at all considering the location, food quality and personnel. I would definitely go and have my breakfast everyday there.

Eaten here twice before seeing shows at the Apollo. Food is good, always busy when we've been and the staff aren't the most attentive or helpful but they are trying it's just that they don't seem to anticipate when they will be busy and get more staff. Plus they have crammed as many tables as possible into the restaurant which makes it hard for staff and customers to navigate. My friend was on crutches on my second visit and struggled to get to and from the table. The disabled toilet appeared to be doubling as a storage area for toilet rolls so I'm not sure a wheelchair user would be able to use it as easily as they might like to...

Wagamama

The Old Firestation, 244 Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7NN, UK – 020 8741 9814

Very good for all your Japanese food needs. The chicken katsu curry and the ramens are particularly good. A nice ambience and polite waiters but with long benches and open spaces it's not that private.

Tasty ramen options for a chain, but the menu is a bit pricey for the quality of the food in my opinion.

Chinese Restaurants serving the Barnes area

Royal China Fulham

805 Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 5HE, UK – 020 7731 0081

Food is pretty good, but I was pretty shocked by two things: £7 for a small beer, but more shockingly they automatically add a tip to the bill by default and then they also invite you to add a tip when you pay. Often I don’t really check the bill before paying and my guess is that this is what they are banking on. Literally. Really dirty tactic. Be careful.

Amazing service, had a really delicious meal. The steam sea bass was the best I’ve had, very fresh and flavoursome. Loved it!!

Fortune Restaurant West Kensington

142 W Cromwell Rd, Hammersmith, London W14 9AE, UK – 020 7610 4333

Just had food from here was absolutely delicious as usual the man who took my order was lovely even though was waiting over an hour called the restaurant and the same man couldn't apologize enough and gave us our food at a reduced rate Which was lovely will definitely be going back

Pretty good value. We ordered 2 fried rice together with sweet and sour pork. The special fried rice is actually yangzhou fried rice and pretty good. The Malaysian coconut chicken fried rice is not to my taste: the coconut sauce tastes quite sweet so you're not sure whether you're eating main or dessert. Sweet and sour pork is good too. Would come back again!

May's Chinese Cuisine

17 Devonshire Rd, Chiswick, London W4 2EU, UK – 020 8994 6826

Amazing value. 5 of us went today and we had 6 dishes. Total bill came to £42 and every single dish was authentic and delicious. (We are Chinese). Service was warm, friendly and caring. A hidden gem.

Always delicious and quickly delivered! Highly recommend!

Indian Restaurants and takeaways in or near Barnes

Shilpa Restaurant

206 King St, Hammersmith, London W6 0RA, UK – 020 8741 3127

Really recommend Shilpa! The food was delicious, never bland as can often happen elsewhere and so reasonably priced. The staff were so lovely, attentive and warm as well that I felt I had to leave a review!

I'll come clean now. I was walking down the street looking for a different Indian restaurant when I found and decided to go into this one. Being in London for a few days, it is always nice to see what one can find. This place did not disappoint. The fellow working was friendly and helpful. I admitted I had no idea about Keralian dishes. I ordered the Varutharacha Kozhi Curry, or what I would have just called Chicken Curry in error, along with Basmati rice and some garlic Naan bread. We chatted a bit while my order was being prepared: answering questions about southern India. The food came out rather quickly. It was spicy and good. I have two more days in London and might just go back and try something else.

Kashmir Restaurant

18 Lacy Rd, London SW15 1NL, UK – 07477 533888

Amazing food. Very authentic! People are wonderful, always smiling and with a great sweet heart look in their eyes. Everything makes you feel home and welcome. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been in London (if not in my life)! *and I have India family! 😍

Good food but the prices oh my lord, not worthy. (Replying to the response: It's a bold statement saying that you are the only one serving authentic Kashmiri Cuisine in the country. I am not going to dispute that the food is good, I am going to dispute the price of the sides that I think are over priced an make the price of the meal to shoot up. I will probably go back however and will give another chance when I want to spend 40£ per person.)

Annapurna Restaurant

101 Chiswick High Rd, Chiswick, London W4 2ED, UK – 020 8994 0338

Beautifully cooked Indian food in a clean and friendly environment. A lovely gentleman named Babul attended to us all evening and could not have done more to make our night special. I will definitely go back again.

Have had a lovely meal here with 3 friends. We all agreed that the food was delicious, there was a good choice and we ate from the vegetarian menu. The staff were polite, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The food was reasonably priced by London standards. I would recommend

Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

ASK Italian

85 Kew Green, Richmond TW9 3AH, UK – 020 3802 6969

Great place for families or to bring the little ones for a nice dinner. Also great for groups. They have a lovely conservatory to sit down and enjoy your meal there when there's a nice day. Service was fantastic, very nice and accomodating with my 2 children. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours but you can park just outside the restaurant or around the green outside the restaurant for free after 4:30pm. Definitely going back.

Restaurant located in a pleasant setting, within walking distance of Kew Gardens. Shaded patio is ideal for drinks outside in good weather while inside seating is comfortable, with plenty of room. Good selection of Italian entrées and main dishes on the menu. Waiter service is both good and caring.

Zizzi Chiswick

235 Chiswick High Rd, Chiswick, London W4 4PU, UK – 020 3302 2126

Went there for a lunch 'date' with my two year-old. Was pleasantly surprised how attentive the waitress was and experienced with little customers. Got pens to draw and her food was served very quickly. Best of all was the price of the set menu for my little one - fantastic value for money and very good food. Will definitely be back for another 'date'.

Nice, family-friendly restaurant. Can be noisy on busy nights. Food is good but not spectacular. Quality of service was mixed. We had to wait quite a while to be seated even though we arrived early. But, we ended up with a very friendly waiter.

Q Verde

291 Sandycombe Rd, Richmond TW9 3LU, UK – 020 8332 2882

Excellent food, wine and service. Great specials and very flexible menu. Italian beer on draft. Personal service and quality authentic Italian food. Would recommend. Eaten here many times as a family and usually bump into friends eating here also. Popular local restaurant. Press ‘like’ if review is of benefit.

Very very good Italian cuisine. Competent and very nice owner. Very attentive service. Delicious food and very accommodating of special requests. Went there with my family and had a great time. We’ll be back!

Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

222 Vegan Cuisine

222 North End Rd, Hammersmith, London W14 9NU, UK – 020 7381 2322

The environment is adorable. A true sense of a family business. The talented chefs are husband and wife. The selection on thw budget is very diverse and all very tasty. I would definitely recommend it!

Amazing place! I highly recommend this restaurant even if you're not vegan! I, myself, am and as any vegan will tell you we eat a lot at meal times....I mean, plates stacked high with veggies! One of the great things about this restaurant is that they understand this and you will never be disappointed by the portion sizes. Other really good points are that they have options on the menu for raw vegans and will also make any meal gluten free! It's nice to look through a menu, knowing that you can eat everything on it and not pay a small fortune for it, unlike mainstream restaurants who seem to charge extra for 'specialist meals'.

Sagar

157 King St, Hammersmith, London W6 9JT, UK – 020 8741 8563

Went to try a random afternoon and it was surprisingly good. Love South Indian food, which is not the most common type of cuisine you find in London. Food was really fresh and didn't feel heavy as usual after an Indian restaurant. Loved their coconut lentil-based pizza. Very reasonable price and friendly staff too. Will go back.

This restaurant was on my radar for a while as it is close to home and vegetarian. My husband and I went there for a random late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't recognise much on the menu as we are used to 'British' Indian food, rather than South Indian, traditional cuisine. Also, my husband is meat eater and felt a little lost without the familiar lamb or chicken dishes. But we went all out with 3 courses and were happy we did. The food was tasty and fresh, and we actually asked for an extra bread as the first was so delicious. The portions aren't huge but they are filling enough, and for £29 for 3 courses and 2 beers it wasn't an issue. I wouldn't say it's the best Indian food I've ever had, but it was good. Service was very polite and professional but I agree with other reviewers, not overly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was quite quiet and could have done with a bit more atmosphere, both in terms of the staff but also the decor which is very simple. I would recommend this to other vegetarians but wouldn't call it a favourite.

Rangrez Indian Restaurant

32 Fulham Palace Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9PH, UK – 020 8563 7176

I cam here after 4 years and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and tasty. The food was full of flavour and they added extra spices on my request and it reminded me of the food i have in delhi. the service was very fast and the quality was amazing

Rangrez has been our date night spot for a couple of years now. The food is absolutely divine. To be honest if the wife and I know we're going the same day we literally don't eat enough during the day so we can indulge in the evening. Easily 5 stars without a doubt. Extremely friendly management and staff. Food wait times are pretty good as well. We know we'll be back for sure.

Wine Bars and Cocktail Bars

Smith's Cocktail Bar

170 Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7PB, UK – 020 7603 2516

Went on the jam night and had a wonderful time. Great drinks and music. Made some new friends while on holiday. Stellar staff. Highly recommend for a fun night out.

My new favorite place. Really great cocktails at a reasonable price. Bar staff def know their stuff and are lovely. I loved it so much that I went for two days in a row. Would definitely re visit if I go back to London Can't give a higher praise for the french maritini and their long island iced tea was definitely one of the bests I've had Should definitely try out if staying near Hammersmith

Be At One

14A Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith, London W6 7AL, UK – 020 8741 8173

We downloaded an app as recommended by the bar tender and received an hour of 2 for £10 cocktails. Left drunk but happy. Great bar, good atmosphere and excellent staff.

Love this place. It was the first be at one I ever went to and found it by mistake. The staff are really friendly and fun get you into it all. The place is a good size and if you go during happy hour the prices are great too. Worth a visit!

Revolution London, Putney

202 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 6TD, UK – 020 3957 7129

Very good service! Lovely sunny roof garden with an area of shade. Good food! We had the Burgers. which are on special offer, Mondays and Tuesdays! Lots of available seating space. Lovely drinks menu! Would love to visit again with more time!

A great bar and reasonably priced too. Loads of space and love the terrace; a real sun trap. Happy hour is awesome value with 2/4/1 on a good range of drinks and cocktails.
