TSB Bank

119 Putney High St, London SW15 1SU, UK – 020 8780 0430

The staff is always willing to help. I have see Tina few times and she's was very clear and reply to all my questions.

I wonder if tsb as a whole will ever update their interior design. It always looks outdated and basic. The staff are usually friendly but they all have different training on what is and what isn't allowed, so this has caused a few issues in the past.

281 Chiswick High Rd, Chiswick, London W4 4HJ, UK – 0345 740 4404

Just a quick note to say thanks to a young man - an absolute star, helping me this early morning. Clearly passionate about his work but more importantly, his customers. Thank you once again.

Slow service

TSB Bank

9 King St, Hammersmith, London W6 9HR, UK – 020 8748 6009

Branches of TSB are very few and far between yet they offer the most comprehensive awards for current accounts and linked savings. Here is one in your doorstep. If you've read it watched the ads give a real person a go from the off.Theres a naive welcome charm about the rotation of the window logos. I like good old fashioned humour.

Came inside 16:00 on saturday and still received help that i need. Good work, friendly, starting the conversation all the time :)

Dental Surgeries

ARK Dental Practice

3a Auriol Rd, Hammersmith, London W14 0SP, UK – 020 7603 7255

I've been visiting ARK for over 10 years. Greg has always provided me with first class dental care, his clear, calm approach is very reassuring. The wider team also contribute to a thoroughly professional service which I highly recommend.

I have used ARK Dental Practice for about 12 years. I would highly recommend the practice for anyone. Greg is always calming, helpful, informative, and thoroughly professional. My experience has been entirely positive. I have been fortunate always to have had good dentists, but ARK Dental Practice is the best that I can remember attending from over 45 years.

St Clements Dental Care

60-62 Fulham Palace Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9PH, UK – 020 8741 4777

Alexia is a superb dentist. I have a lot of dental problems and as a result am a nervous patient, she is calm and patient and works to my comfort rather than her timetable. She always looks to new ways of tackling problems and focuses on long term solutions to avoid future issues. I have never trusted a dental practise before, but I trust St Clements, and I have been going there for more than 5 years now.

Never believed i might like my dentist. Excellent service!

Pure Smiles Dentist Fulham

750A Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 5SH, UK – 020 7736 6276

Beautiful place and great service! I was introduced to the new puppy who helps patients feel calm and as a client you are encouraged to pet! Great idea. My first time here and I was treated very warmly. All my worries were allayed with a thorough run down of what I could expect from my 45 min hygienist appointment. I was asked to pick a Netflix program which I could listen to on headphones while the lovely hygienist worked away- really good idea! Can’t say how well I was treated and how clean my teeth are! First time a hygienist had explained in detail after the treatment how to carry on looking after my teeth. Even though I live outside Richmond I would definitely travel back to Pure Smiles again.

PURE Smiles simply the best dental practice I’ve ever been to. The most professional team I have encountered yet in London. I have used 3 different ones around London in the past but PURE Smiles are standing out of the rest and their standards are high. Dr A. Akram and his team (Receptionists, Nurses and Hygienists) are all welcoming and friendly and the practice has a relax feel to it. Dr Akram is very meticulous in his explanation and the finish of his work exceptional. Always advising as he goes along and all possible solutions for my case were explained in details. I strongly recommend PURE Smiles Practice

Charing Cross Hospital

Fulham Palace Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 8RF, UK – 020 3311 1234

Very promptly attended to my needs. Seen to discreetly and smoothly. Empathetic Doctor who couldn't get the printer to print my prescription so went and got the medication for me and I took it there and then, follow on care was queried to see if I'd understood what he'd relayed to me. Great walk in clinic that kept the queues down and explained that there where three different queuing system's and what position I was in my particular queue. Thank you for such a great service which actually challenged my belief that I'd been reading about in the news regarding excessive waiting time's on the NHS SERVICE!

Find Recycling Centres

Acton Re-use and Recycling Centre

3 Stirling Rd, London W3 8DJ, UK – 020 8993 7580

Small but works well, despite previous reviews to the contrary I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Bear in mind the summer/winter closing time as winter does not match the info Google info please view pictures uploaded for correct timings.

Townmead Road Re-use and Recycling Centre

Townmead Rd, Kew, Richmond TW9 4EL, UK – 020 8876 3281

Overall this place is good, but can be very busy a lot of the time. I use it fairly regularly as it's my closest recycling point. I find it is easy to use, with most things clearly signed and when I haven't been able to find the right area, staff working there have been polite and helpful. The site is a big improvement on the muddy dump it was before. The main improvement I would like is a better traffic system that means I can get out once I'm finished, without being blocked by the queue of cars waiting to get in. For those reviewers who complain about the staff tearing open the black bags. This done to ensure the highest amount of waste is recycled, as some users just want to dump and run. And no I'm not related to, or friends with anyone working there.

I use this place quite a lot. Although the staff vary they're generally helpful and polite and while they may mildly scold you if you bring too much they are usually not Jobsworths. A reasonable balance. I hope they maintain this policy. DIY can generate a lot of waste, and rules aimed at men in white vans just penalise normal citizens. Not that there's anything wrong with men in white vans.

New Kings House, 136-144 New King's Rd, Fulham, London SW6 4LZ, UK – 020 7736 4242

Lack of communications from company assigned to pick up the car for auction; so 4 out of 5. Otherwise a 5 star idea.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Richmond

Bill's Chiswick

270-272 Chiswick High Rd, Chiswick, London W4 1PD, UK – 020 8994 2923

An amazing meal on mothers day after leaving somewhere else over poor service. They welcomed our party of 8 at short notice and the food and service were fantastic. Will recommend and definitely be back.

Came to "Bill's"on a Tuesday evening to catch up with an elderly friend I hadn't seen in ages. I was hoping for a warm comfortable space, not too noisy, with good, affordable food, and"Bill's"did not disappoint. For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was quiet but certainly not empty and enough atmosphere and movement to make one feel comfortable. A well balanced menu covered our own personal preferences, and service was both friendly and prompt, and the food was good. Paying the bill, the manager asked us how our meal was, saying that they were currently focusing on insuring that all food coming out of the kitchen was the best quality they could achieve. We certainly had no complaints, and I will make efforts to return again soon.

Wagamama Putney

50-54 Putney High St, London SW15 1SQ, UK – 020 8785 3636

Chilled out but busy place. Japanese beer and food, delicious, especially the fish and seafood. Great venue, 4 people, some beer etc, food and tip= 80 quid!

Wagamama is always good. Especially with a little toddler that needs food and attention. Lovely staff and great food.

Côte Brasserie - Parsons Green

Woolverstone House, 45-47 Parsons Green Ln, Fulham, London SW6 4HH, UK – 020 7736 8444

Great food and reasonable prices. Only once have I had an issue with a meal that was too salty. Staff were happy to replace it.

Food was great and reasonably priced however service was incredibly slow - writing this review whilst waiting for our bill! Not a reflection on the waitress but obviously short staffed.

Primary and Secondary Schools

Public & Preparatory Schools

St James Junior School

Earsby St, Hammersmith, London W14 8SH, UK – 020 7348 1777

Both my son and my daughter have been very happy there. I am aware of a small number of problems in the 1970's but that is a very long time ago !

My son is attending St James and he is enjoying to go to school. It is very welcoming school. Small classes, well behaved children, but still with freedom to be children. Teachers are skilled and supportive. Children are engaged to participate to school's activities from very beginning. By the end of the first semester your boy or girl will happily recite Shakespear's poems and sing on Latin and Sanskrit (completely willingly with smile and happiness). Parents are friendly. Competitive credo is swapped for learning and understanding. As a parent of child who is attending St James I can't say nothing but best for this school so far. He was shy boy and now he is growing into an confident, kind, very well educated and behaved young man. Regarding things from the past, I don't know how someone can judge the school nowadays on its past... (new milenium schools and parents are different and generally schools in the past weren't some pleasant places)

Ibstock Place School

Clarence Lane, London, Roehampton SW15 5PY, UK – 020 8876 9991

Came as a visitor. Head of School, teachers and staff all extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Lovely facilities and grounds. Children enthusiastic and polite. Fantastic school, very impressed.

Amazing school. PROS: Aesthetically beautiful, fantastic staff and brilliant pupils and friends. The teachers will devote their time to assisting you as a pupil and will always try to help if you ask. I have not once witnessed bullying and their is a strong sense of social responsibility amongst the pupils. School is school and everyone would say they'd rather not be there, but for a school, Ibstock life is enjoyable. Overall, the pupils and the commitment of the staff are the best features. I have had a great time. CONS: Headmistress is an awful woman. She neglects the pupils and after being at the senior school for all 7 years, I still don't know where her office is, showing that she is not the kind of Headmistress that you can speak to if you have a problem. On top of that, she is rude and full of herself. She is a businesswoman, not a head teacher. My only other complaint is that Ibstock is a bit eccentric at times and some of the rules are ridiculous, for example, if your phone goes off, you have to attend detention for 3 hours (or maybe 4) on a Saturday morning; facial hair is banned and when the heating wasn't on in the dead of winter one year, wearing a coat inside was an offence punishable by having to visit the deputy head. But this is a minor complaints.
